This is a WD-only version of Hants 83.16.2.
It shows the northern part of the East Auxilliary Battery, forming a pair with the west one, described under (30). Between them is Southsea Castle, now primarily an observation post, though other functions include a lighthouse. The only addition the map records is tree-planting along the northern perimeter of these installations.
