The base map is a sales version of Hants 83.12.16, printed 1879.
The roads along the edge of Southsea Common have been redrawn, with large paste-overs covering the former detail, but comparison with (1) suggests that not much has changed. None of this was at all sensitive and the printed map - https://maps.nls.uk/view/231279513 - was on public sale.
