No.2 Hants 83.11

This is a WD-only version of Hants 83.11 in its uncoloured form.

Near the middle of the eastern edge, two large blocks appear in red, lacking their northern ends and without any explanation. The 1:500 provides the same detail but helpfully adds 'Barracks (in progress)'. Top-left, below the parcel number 691, there seem to be a couple of squiggles in black ink. The larger is copied from the 1:500 and shows the extent of water within the moat; shading is applied to north and west to show that this is a 'hole' rather than a building. The smaller squiggle seems to be merely a squiggle! The blurred nature of the SW portion of this map is the result of poor printing of the original. Where detail cannot be made out, it is worth consulting the engraved sales edition at https://maps.nls.uk/view/105989398
